Science Bits has won yet another prize: the 2014 Ciencia en Acción Award, in the Interactive Science Learning Content category. The award is sponsored by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and other prestigious scientific agencies. Here below is the announcement made by the 2014 Ciencia en Acción Board:

“The award for Best Interactive Science Learning Material goes to SCIENCE BITS: high-quality materials of great educational value which, once in the classroom context, successfully manage to engage young students in different aspects of science.”

About Ciencia en Acción

Ciencia en Acción (“Science in Action”) is an initiative pioneered by the Spanish National Research Council, the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, the Spanish Royal Society of Physics, The Spanish Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the Spanish Society of Geology, and the Spanish National University of Distance Education (UNED).

The Ciencia en Acción program brings science and technology closer to young people and to the public in general in a way which is engaging, attractive, and highly entertaining.

The Ciencia en Acción competition is mainly aimed at teachers at all levels, researchers, popularizers of science, and to anyone who is interested in teaching different scientific disciplines in Spain, Portugal, and Latin American countries.
